Martin Macik celebrated his first victory in a Dakar, by winning in the trucks category in the 2024 edition. The race ended yesterday with the 12th stage, in which the fastest was Ales Loprais.
The Czech from Instaforex Loprais Praga completed the last stage in 1h56m41s, surpassing his compatriot Jaroslav Valtr (Tatra Buggyra ZM Racing) by 1m30s. Mitchel van den Brink (Eurol Rallysport/Iveco) closed the podium, with Janus van Kasteren (Boss Machinery Team de Rooy FPT/Iveco) in fourth after leading in an early stage.
