Kyle Busch is no stranger to physical confrontations in the world of NASCAR. During the recent All-Star race weekend, the Richard Childress Racing driver had one of the most intense moments of his career. Early in the race, he made contact with the wall after being squeezed by another driver in a three-car battle. In retaliation, he forced the Chevy number 47 into the wall, resulting in the car being unable to continue the race.
The winner of the 2022 Daytona 500, Ricky Stenhouse Jr, was furious with Kyle Busch for causing the incident. He immediately parked his car in the designated area and approached Busch’s team boss to address the situation. Stenhouse Jr made it clear to the media that he would confront the Cup champion twice as soon as the race ended.
After the incident, when Busch returned to his hauler, Stenhouse Jr was waiting for him. Without hesitation, Stenhouse Jr confronted Busch and engaged in a heated argument. In a matter of seconds, Stenhouse Jr punched Busch, surprising those around them. The situation quickly escalated when Stenhouse Jr was knocked to the ground.
Meanwhile, Stenhouse Jr’s father also got involved, trying to push and knock Kyle Busch to the ground while his son was still on the ground. JTDGR team members intervened and separated the parties involved. RCR team members quickly cleared the scene by pushing them down and away from Busch’s hauler.
In the aftermath of the accident, Stenhouse Jr spoke to the media and revealed that he had already informed Kyle Busch’s team that he would be waiting for him on the track. He kept his promise, adding even more drama to the day.
