Peugeot closed the year 2023 as the leading brand in new car sales in Portugal, for the third consecutive year. According to ACAP data, the French brand ended 2023 with 25,815 units sold (Passenger Vehicles + Light Commercial Vehicles) and a market share of 11.3%.
Among the models, the Peugeot 2008 was once again the preferred car of the Portuguese in 2023. Besides naturally being the leader in the B segment, it was also the best-selling SUV, with 6760 units sold. The 308 SW stood out as the best-selling station wagon, with 2187 units and a market share of over 22.5% among medium-sized wagons.
In the Light Commercial Vehicles market, the French brand also finished the year in the lead, with 5117 units and a market share of 17.9%, with the Peugeot Partner, a model produced in Mangualde, being the best-selling van with 4433 units, which represents a market share of over 15.5% of the entire LCV market.
