Ford Pro unveiled a new extended range option for the E-Transit this Tuesday, enhancing the capabilities of the large electric van.
The new version includes a battery with 89 kWh capacity, usable for a maximum range of up to 402 km, which is 28% more than an equivalent version with normal range, as well as faster charging performance.

Thus, the maximum AC charging capacity has increased from 11 kW to 22 kW, meaning a full charge will take less than six hours. The DC fast charging capacity has been increased from 115 kW to 180 kW, so a 10-minute charge can add up to 116 km of range and a 10 to 80 percent charge takes approximately 28 minutes.
Ford has equipped this model with a standard vapor-injected heat pump, allowing for more efficient heating of the cabin even in low temperatures. The system is similar to the one in the E-Transit Custom, the first electric vehicle to use this technology, designed to improve energy efficiency and optimize range in colder climates.

“La opción de autonomía extendida para la E-Transit es otro ejemplo del compromiso de Ford Pro de hacer realidad flotas eléctricas altamente productivas en toda Europa”, declaró Hans Schep, Director General de Ford Pro, Europa.
