During a recent interview with Fox Sports about his upcoming race in Bristol with JRM, Junior mentioned that the Bristol race in 2024 may be his last event in NASCAR. He acknowledged that racing at his age is a significant commitment and admitted that he has not yet made a decision about retiring from NASCAR.
Junior concluded his broadcasting duties with NBC at the end of last season and will be joining the Amazon-TNT team starting in the 2025 season. However, as he has no commitments in 2024, he misses being in the booth and calling the races.
In the same interview, the Hall of Fame member also discussed how he is preparing for his new broadcasting role with NASCAR’s streaming partners for the 2025 season. It will be intriguing to see how the former Xfinity Series champion adapts to his new job.
