BYD announced that it achieved a record of electric vehicle sales, including 100% electric and plug-in hybrid models, for the sixth consecutive month in October 2023.
In the first 10 months of 2023, the Chinese brand has already sold over 2.37 million electric passenger cars, with accumulated sales value exceeding 5.7 million units, thus consolidating its first place in the global New Energy Vehicles (NEV) sales ranking.
In October, BYD sold 301,833 units of new energy passenger vehicles and surpassed the 300,000 unit mark for the first time, after achieving a record of sales for six consecutive months.
This performance and the increased market presence were crucial to consolidate the leadership of the NEV sales chart worldwide.
It is worth noting that BYD’s passenger vehicles are present in 58 countries and regions worldwide. In the European market, in particular, the brand is present in 19 countries with five new 100% electric models.
