China is the largest automotive market in the world, and in the transition to electric mobility, Chinese brands continue to surprise as they seek solutions for electric vehicle charging that can be done quickly.
Now it is Zeekr’s turn to announce a new liquid-cooled supercharger with a maximum power of 1.2 MW, which the brand will present in April at the Shanghai Auto Show.
Zeekr, a brand of the Geely Group, has been focusing on charging infrastructure for the past three years, upgrading its stations from 360 kW to 600 kW and then to 800 kW.
The Chinese brand currently has 826 charging stations with 4,007 chargers in China, and the move to enhance charging points now takes another step forward with the introduction of the new superchargers with a maximum power of 1.2 MW.
However, the Geely Group brand is not alone in its strategy to advance charging above 1 MW. In early March, BUW revealed a supercharger that, according to the brand, promises to charge energy for a range of 400 km in just 5 minutes. Additionally, Huawei has also announced that it will present a 1 MW supercharger on April 22.
