Rookie Sensation Tsunoda Ready to Dominate the Red Bull F1 Car

Japanese rookie, Yuki Tsunoda, is gearing up for his Red Bull debut at the upcoming Japanese Grand Prix, and he is not holding back on his expectations. Despite previously admitting that his comments about the RB20 suiting his style were a “sales pitch,” Tsunoda is now confident and bullish about his prospects with the RB21.

Having had a glimpse of the RB21 in the simulator, Tsunoda believes that the car is not as tricky as some may claim. With the pressure on following the driver swap with Liam Lawson, who struggled in the early races of the F1 2025 season, Tsunoda is eager to prove himself at Suzuka.

Acknowledging the challenges of driving the Red Bull car, with Lawson describing it as having “a very small window” of sensitivity, Tsunoda remains unfazed. Red Bull team principal, Helmut Marko, has also admitted that the RB21 is difficult to drive compared to the Racing Bulls, but the team is counting on Tsunoda to deliver solid performances.

Tsunoda shared his first impressions of the RB21 after spending time in the simulator, noting the car’s responsiveness and stating that he didn’t find it particularly challenging to handle. The 24-year-old driver is determined to develop his own car set-up and gradually adapt to the demands of the Red Bull car.

With his unexpected call-up to race for Red Bull at his home Grand Prix, Tsunoda is embracing the challenge and the pressure that comes with it. Expressing his excitement about the opportunity, Tsunoda is setting his sights on a podium finish but remains aware that it won’t be an easy feat.

As Tsunoda prepares to make his Red Bull debut, he is ready to face the extreme pressure and expectations that come with racing for one of the top teams in Formula 1. With a mix of confidence and determination, the young driver is poised to make a statement at the Japanese Grand Prix and leave a lasting impression on the F1 world.
