Yuki Tsunoda’s Frustration Peaks as He Conquers Starting Grid from P18

Yuki Tsunoda Left Fuming as Qualifying Woes Continue

Yuki Tsunoda’s turbulent season took another hit as he failed to advance from Q1 in the Austrian Grand Prix qualifying, leaving him to start in the 18th position on the grid. The young Japanese driver expressed his frustration, particularly with the unpredictable behavior of the Red Bull car.

Tsunoda, who had a promising start in the season, struggled to find his footing after being promoted to the top team. The RB21’s challenging nature, known for its narrow operating window, proved to be a tough adversary for both Tsunoda and even Max Verstappen, who qualified in P7.

Despite feeling optimistic before the session, Tsunoda’s hopes for a better outcome were dashed by the car’s inconsistencies. The driver lamented the difficulty in adjusting to the car’s nuances, highlighting the stark differences between his runs in qualifying.

With limited options for the Grand Prix strategy due to tire constraints, Tsunoda faces an uphill battle to make up for his starting position. The possibility of a setup change, albeit with a pit lane start penalty, looms as a potential gamble in a bid for a better race performance.

While qualifying seems to be Tsunoda’s Achilles’ heel, he remains determined to showcase his race pace and fight for valuable points. The young driver is keen on overcoming the challenges posed by the Red Bull machine and the competitive field to prove his worth on the track.
