Yuki Tsunoda Exposes Red Bull’s Secrets: “Not Hard to Drive, But…”

Japanese driver Yuki Tsunoda has sent shockwaves through the Formula 1 community with his recent revelations about driving for Red Bull Racing. After scoring his first points in Bahrain, Tsunoda is eager to maintain his performance at the upcoming race in Jeddah.

In a candid interview, Tsunoda expressed his goal for the weekend, stating, “I want to be more consistent in the free practices, without the highs and lows I experienced, especially in Bahrain. Highs and lows don’t help the driver or the team to ‘build’ the weekend towards Qualifying.”

When asked about the difficulty of driving the Red Bull compared to other cars on the grid, Tsunoda provided a surprising insight, saying, “One must contextualize well in answering this question. I believe the right answer is that the Red Bull is not a difficult car to drive, but it is difficult to bring it into the correct operating window.”

Tsunoda highlighted Max Verstappen’s skill in extracting performance from the car even when it’s not in the optimal window, particularly excelling in Qualifying sessions. He emphasized, “The fast lap with the Red Bull is not inherently complicated, but the preparation for it is indeed challenging.”

With Tsunoda’s eye-opening comments, the Formula 1 world is abuzz with speculation about the intricacies of driving for a top team like Red Bull. As fans eagerly await the action in Jeddah, all eyes will be on Tsunoda to see if he can continue to impress and unravel the mysteries of piloting the formidable Red Bull machine.
