Yuki Tsunoda Shuns UK Return, Prefers Italy Over Red Bull’s HQ

Rising Formula 1 star Yuki Tsunoda has unequivocally rejected the idea of moving back to the United Kingdom to be closer to Red Bull’s headquarters, opting instead to remain in Italy for its benefits. The Japanese driver, who recently made the leap to the Red Bull senior team, expressed no interest in relocating to England despite the team’s base being in Milton Keynes.

Tsunoda’s decision stems from his belief that living in Italy provides him with more advantages than being near the Red Bull HQ. Having already spent time in the UK during his early struggles in F1, Tsunoda found solace in Italy, where he currently resides near the Alpha Tauri team’s base in Faenza.

Reflecting on his time in the UK, Tsunoda recalled being in quarantine during his stay in Milton Keynes, which tainted his experience and made Italy a more appealing option for him. The young driver emphasized how vital it is for him to have a comfortable living arrangement to reset his mind during breaks in the intense F1 schedule.

Despite his recent success on the track, including a double points finish in Miami, Tsunoda remains focused on extracting more performance from the Red Bull RB21. He is determined to narrow the gap to his teammate, the formidable Max Verstappen.

As the F1 season progresses, Tsunoda’s decision to stay in Italy showcases his commitment to maintaining a routine that aids his performance and mental well-being. The upcoming Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, close to his current residence in Milan, serves as the perfect backdrop for Tsunoda to continue his impressive form.

Italy has proven to be a sanctuary for Tsunoda, allowing him to collaborate closely with engineers and recharge between races effectively. Despite the allure of being closer to Red Bull’s operations in the UK, Tsunoda’s contentment in Italy remains unwavering, highlighting the importance of a conducive environment for peak performance in Formula 1.
