Yuki Tsunoda Shatters Red Bull Record: 5 Grands Prix, 0 Points, Unprecedented Struggle

Yuki Tsunoda’s troubles on the Formula 1 grid show no sign of easing, and he has now matched a lamentable record at Red Bull Racing. The Japanese driver equalized the statistic set by Mark Webber in 2009, failing to score in the last five Grand Prix, a streak that stretches back more than a month.

Since being promoted from Alpha Tauri, Tsunoda has endured a rocky introduction at the Milton-Keynes squad. Over ten starts for the team, he has gathered only seven points, the last of which came in tenth position at Imola. On top of that, poor Saturday showings have left him in Q1 three times during the past six races.

Although he took Liam Lawson’s seat hoping for fresh momentum, the broader second-driver riddle at Red Bull persists. Remarkably, the customer team Alpha Tauri has outscored Red Bull in the last four events, underlining the pressure he faces. Tsunodas most recent 15th place at Silverstone extended his barren stretch and updated Webbers old record, now stood as the longest point-less run in Red Bulls anger.

It is clear that Yuki Tsunoda has yet to keep pace with the blistering form of his teammate Max Verstappen, who remains the benchmark on the grid. Although Red Bulls advisor Helmut Marko has ruled out a mid-season driver swap at this stage, the team is still left contemplating how to support Tsunoda through his persistent difficulties.

As the calendar moves forward, attention will increasingly focus on whether Tsunoda can convert opportunity into points and bolster Red Bull Racings standing. Fans and analysts alike will be watching closely for any signs of breakthrough in the fast-evolving and high-stakes realm of Formula 1.
