Red Bull Advisor Helmut Marko Delivers Scathing Critique of Yuki Tsunoda’s Performance

In a shocking turn of events, Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko has launched a scathing attack on driver Yuki Tsunoda, labeling him as “SLOW” and attributing the team’s struggles in the constructors’ championship to his subpar performance. Marko expressed his disappointment, stating that Red Bull has already given up on their title aspirations due to Tsunoda’s lackluster results on the track.

Since joining Red Bull in March to replace Liam Lawson, Tsunoda has failed to make a significant impact, only managing to secure seven points in seven race weekends. In contrast, his teammate Max Verstappen has amassed an impressive 101 points during the same period, highlighting the stark difference in performance within the team.

Despite still maintaining a higher position in the drivers’ championship than Lawson, Tsunoda finds himself trailing rookie Isack Hadjar by 11 points. This significant performance gap has widened even further, causing Red Bull to fall a staggering 218 points behind championship leaders McLaren in the constructors’ standings.

Marko did not mince his words when addressing Tsunoda’s recent struggles, criticizing the Japanese racer for his inability to deliver consistent results. With only one championship point earned in the last three races, Tsunoda’s underwhelming performances have raised doubts about his future with the team.

While rumors swirl about a potential driver lineup change, Marko has reaffirmed his commitment to retaining Tsunoda for the remainder of the 2025 season in a bid to establish stability within the team. Despite Hadjar’s impressive showings in recent races, Red Bull seems inclined to stick with their current lineup for the time being.

However, with Tsunoda’s contract set to expire at the end of the season, speculation looms over the possibility of a new driver joining the ranks in 2026. As Red Bull navigates through this turbulent period, all eyes will be on Tsunoda as he seeks to prove his worth and secure his future in Formula 1.

As the drama unfolds at Red Bull Racing, the pressure mounts on Tsunoda to deliver results and silence his critics. Will he rise to the occasion and salvage his reputation, or is his time at the team running out? Only time will tell in this high-stakes game of Formula 1 politics.
