Xpeng has announced that it will launch the revamped X9, an electric minivan, in Europe in the second half of 2025. Unveiled in China in 2024, the X9 now features new specifications and offers two types of batteries: a 105 kWh NMC lithium-ion battery or, alternatively, a 94.8 kWh LFP battery.
It is based on an 800 V high-voltage architecture and has ultrafast charging capabilities, allowing for an addition of 405 km of range in just 10 minutes.

Measuring 5.29 meters in length, 1.98 m in width, 1.78 m in height, and with a wheelbase of 3.16 m—same as its predecessor—the new X9 also showcases the brand’s most advanced cabin experience to date, combining comfort and intelligence. Highlights include 21.4” rear screens, automatic side doors, a panoramic roof, and heated seats in all three rows, along with zero-gravity seats that promise a floating sensation, as if one were in space.

Xpeng claims that these new seats reduce hip pressure by 22%, hip joint force by 36%, lower back force by 60%, and spinal pressure by 13% when activated. Additionally, there is a standard 10-point massage function and an optional 16-point massage system.
Furthermore, the X9 offers passengers the opportunity to enjoy a karaoke system with six microphones, breaking the monotony of long trips.
In terms of safety, the new Xpeng X9 is equipped with Xpeng’s new Turing AI Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), which is standard across the range. A new “Blue Light” ADAS AI has also been added to enhance the visual communication of the system’s operation.

It also features 14 advanced safety functions, including automatic emergency braking, and a battery that incorporates a protection that the Chinese brand claims is “bulletproof.”
The new Xpeng X9 is set to hit the European market in the second half of 2025, with expectations for its arrival in Portugal only in 2026, on a date to be announced.
