Xpeng has announced that it has achieved a new production record with the Mona M03 sedan, a 100% electric model, with the 100,000th unit coming off the production line just 216 days after the model’s presentation, setting a production record among Chinese electric vehicle startups.

Unveiled on August 27, 2024, in Beijing, Xpeng’s model generated a strong wave of orders, reaching 10,000 reservations just 52 minutes after its presentation.

The Mona M03 measures 4.78 meters in length, and Xpeng is targeting the 100% electric model to attract a young clientele looking for a technologically advanced car at an affordable price.

The model features an electric motor installed on the rear axle and is available in two power levels, 187 hp and 214 hp, powered by BYD’s FinDreams lithium iron phosphate batteries.

The entry-level version comes with a battery capacity of 51.8 kWh, promising a range of up to 515 km. Additionally, a larger 62.2 kWh battery is available, which promises a range of 620 km.

The interior of the Mona M03 showcases a minimalist design reminiscent of Tesla, highlighting the 15.6-inch infotainment screen, which is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip with 16 GB of RAM.

It is worth noting that Xpeng is present in the national market with three electric models: the G6, G7, and P7.
