Xpeng aposta na expansão da marca na Europa

The Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer has just entered the German market, one of the most important in Europe, thus starting an expansion strategy for the brand, which will debut in the markets of France, Italy, and the United Kingdom by the end of this year.

Xpeng debuts in the German market with the G9 SUV and the P7 sedan, which will be available from next May.

The G9 features technology such as an 800V electric architecture that allows fast DC charging of up to 480kW and is available in several versions, with a premium model 650 Max with all-wheel drive, two electric motors delivering a combined power of 550 hp, powered by a 98 kWh capacity battery, allowing a generous range of up to 650 km, according to the Chinese CLTC cycle. Xpeng revealed that the battery can replenish enough energy for about 200 kilometers in just five minutes.

Xpeng is already present in markets such as Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and the Netherlands.

It is worth noting that the German manufacturer VW announced in February that it had signed an agreement with the Chinese company Xpeng to develop two electric models for the Chinese market.

Furthermore, in 2023, VW paid €630 million for a 4.99% stake in Xpeng, aiming for joint development of electric vehicles.
