Xiaomi has sold more than 270,000 units of the 100% electric sedan SU7 since its launch in China on March 28 of last year.
The demand for the model, which is available in four variants: SU7, SU7 Pro, SU7 Max, and SU7 Ultra, is quite high, and “CarNewsChina” has now revealed that the delivery time has reached 350 days, or about a year.
Thus, those who placed an order for this electric sedan will need to wait 50 weeks to receive the SU7, a long delivery time that is the result of strong demand for Xiaomi’s first model, as well as the brand’s limited production capacity.
Since the launch of the model, the demand for the SU7 has forced long waiting times, as at that time a purchase order for the sedan took 25 weeks to fulfill, a time that increased to 46 weeks in March of this year and has now grown to 50 weeks.
It is worth noting that Xiaomi has a factory in Beijing, inaugurated in June 2023, with an annual capacity of 150,000 units. The factory is being expanded for the brand to soon start production of its second model, the 100% electric SUV YU7.
