Xiaomi announced sales exceeding 400,000 cars in 2025, a record that includes over 50,000 in just one month (last December). The brand of the Chinese consumer electronics giant presented its first model (SU7) in April 2024, and the second (YU7) has been on sale in China only since June of last year. The final sales figures will be released only on the 15th of this month, but the manufacturer accumulated 361,625 sales from January to November, and even has plans for export to Europe, although the operation is expected to start only in 2027 – initially only in Germany.
Referring again to November, Xiaomi Auto delivered 12,520 units of the SU7 and 33,729 of the YU7. The latter, a SUV competitor to the Tesla Model Y, has attracted over 150,000 customers in six months on the market. For this year, the brand announces significant updates to the first model, which will enhance both aesthetics and quality (a more refined version is even promised), and the introduction of two new models, both equipped with range extenders (powered by electric motors, with thermal engines serving only as electricity generators for charging the batteries). More details about the technology behind the registration of various patents are unknown, but it is known that the two Xiaomi models will have the trendy car shape, and one will be large-sized, due to the promise of being able to transport up to seven people.
