Xiaomi prepara lançamento de SUV elétrico
After the success achieved with the launch of the SU7, where I managed to sell out the production of 100,000 units planned for this year in just over 24 hours, Xiaomi is already working to present a new model in the last quarter of this year. According to “CarNewsChina”, Xiaomi will unveil an electric SUV that is expected to have a range extender and therefore will debut a new platform. The new model, known for now as SU8, will be similar in size to the Porsche Cayenne and will rival the Li Auto L9, which also offers a range extender powertrain. Xiaomi seems willing to capitalize on the success achieved with the SU7, a sedan based on the Modena platform, designed to support 400-volt and 800-volt electric architectures, as well as transmission systems with one or two motors. The entry-level version with an electric motor installed on the rear axle has a power of 300 hp and a torque of 400 Nm, powered by a 73.6 kWh battery, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.28 seconds and reach a top speed of 210 km/h, with a range of 628 km to 668 km in WLTP cycle.

The most powerful version is the SU7 Max, which uses two electric motors, one per axle, with all-wheel drive, with a total power of 645 hp and a torque of 838 Nm, which uses a 101 kWh battery supplied by CATL, which allows a range of up to 800 km, as well as accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds and reaching a top speed of 265 km/h.
