A Wayne Taylor Racing (WRT) Andretti has already closed its trio of drivers for the 2024 IMSA SportsCar Championship. The team will compete in LMDh with two Acura ARX-06, with Filipe Albuquerque, Ricky Taylor, Jordan Taylor, and Louis Delétraz as full-time drivers.
In car #10, Albuquerque and Ricky Taylor will have Brendon Hartley by their side in the Endurance Cup races, while Jordan Taylor and Delétraz will team up with Colton Herta in those same rounds – the first of which is the 24 Hours of Daytona that kicks off the season at the end of January.
The team manager, Wayne Taylor, stated in a press release: ‘It’s exciting to have been able to secure Brendon Hartley’s services again and to have Colton Herta as our third driver for the IMEC. Brendon has driven for us before, and we know him very well. Obviously, Colton is part of Andretti Global, which opened the door for us with him. He won Daytona in a GT and drove an LMDh last year, doing a very good job. I’m really excited to have Brendon and Colton.’
From Andretti Global’s side, the president and CEO, Michael Andretti, commented: ‘The addition of Colton and Brendon as endurance drivers for the upcoming season will be a great boost to our already very talented IMSA driver lineup. Both have some experience competing in endurance races and have built such strong track records in various championships, so we are excited to see what they can do in 2024.’
