The FIA World Council approved the calendar for the World Rally Championship (WRC) for the upcoming season, which contains some news. The Rally of Portugal remains, scheduled for May 9-12. The number of rounds also remains the same – 13.

As usual for several years, the Monte Carlo Rally opens the season – from January 25 to 28 – followed by the snowy Rally of Sweden from February 15 to 18. The first major change is the Safari Rally Kenya, which moves from its June dates to March 28-31.

After that, there is a return to Europe with the first pure asphalt rally of the year, in Croatia from April 18 to 21. Then it will be Portugal’s turn on dirt tracks on May 9-12, followed by Sardinia (Italy) and the return of the Rally of Poland from June 27 to 30. The Rally of Latvia is an absolute newcomer, from July 18 to 21 around the city of Liepāja. With the return of Poland and the entry of Latvia, Estonia and Mexico are out.
