Williams admite que a reconstrução do chassi irá afetar sua estratégia de atualização na Fórmula 1.

Alexander Albon, a driver for Williams Racing, was involved in an accident during practice at the Albert Park Circuit in Australia. The impact was so severe that the chassis was irreparable, leaving Williams with only one car to compete in the race. This unfortunate incident undoubtedly set back the team’s development plans. Williams did not have a spare chassis available, forcing them to sideline Logan Sargeant to allow Albon to continue racing. This lack of preparation put Williams at a disadvantage compared to their competitors, and Team Principal James Vowles admitted that the situation is unacceptable. The accident also affected the team’s upgrade plans, as focus had to be shifted to rebuilding the damaged chassis. Williams had committed to revamping their 2024 car, the FW46, and had worked hard to have both cars ready for the first race. However, the lack of a spare chassis caused delays and diverted resources from their planned upgrades. Despite the setback, Williams is working diligently to repair the chassis in time for the next Grand Prix in Japan, allowing Sargeant to return to racing. However, this means the team will once again be without a spare chassis for the fourth consecutive race.
