Who is the NASCAR Busch Light Clash champion?

The Busch Light Clash is a highly anticipated event in the NASCAR schedule. Since 1979, this stock car racing exhibition race has been a thrilling way to kick-start the season. The race has undergone name changes over the years, depending on the title sponsor, but the Busch Light/ Bud Light has been the current and long-standing sponsor.

Initially, the event took place at the Daytona International Speedway as part of the Speedweeks, preceding the ARCA season opener race. However, in 2022, alongside the introduction of NASCAR Next-Gen cars, the race moved to the LA Coliseum, where a temporary 0.25-mile track was set up. The upcoming 2024 edition will be the third time the event is held at this location.

The most successful driver in the history of the Busch Light Clash is a NASCAR legend and seven-time Cup champion. He has an impressive record of six wins, with his first victory coming in 1980 and his last in 1995. Another notable driver, , is the most successful active Cup driver in the event’s history, with four wins. There are four drivers who share the third spot for the most wins at the event, each having won three times.

Among these drivers are Hall of Famer , HOF and SHR co-owner , and recently retired Cup champion . Additionally, seven other drivers, including ., , and , have each won the event twice, earning them a spot in the fourth position.

When it comes to teams, Joe Gibbs Racing, a prominent Toyota team, holds the record for the most wins in the Busch Light Clash, with a total of 11 victories. Their drivers, Hamlin and Busch, have been significant contributors to their success. In second place is RCR, with eight wins, thanks to the efforts of Dale Sr. and Kevin Harvick. Hendrick Motorsports, known as the Chevy Giants, holds the third spot with seven wins, making them the most successful team in the history of the sport. The remaining positions on the list are held by various other teams.

Chevy is the manufacturer with the most success at the Busch Light Clash, having secured 21 race wins. They are also the most successful manufacturer overall. Ford comes in second place with ten wins, while Toyota holds the third position with seven wins.
