With the FIA World Endurance Championship’s Prologue Test and season-opening race in Qatar fast approaching, teams are rolling out their bold new liveries for the 2025 campaign. This week has already seen four teams from three of the sport’s biggest manufacturers—Corvette, Ford, and Porsche—unleash fresh designs, giving fans a glimpse of the visual spectacle that awaits on the grid.
From classic yellow Corvettes to radically redesigned Mustangs and a sleek Iron Dames Porsche, the 2025 WEC season is shaping up to be a head-turner both on and off the track.
Corvette Racing: The Iconic Yellow Roars Back
TF Sport’s Corvette Z06 LMGT3.Rs will once again race in the manufacturer’s signature bright yellow, a color that has defined Corvette Racing for decades. However, for its second year as General Motors’ factory-backed team, subtle distinctions between the two cars will set them apart.
- No. 81 Corvette – Driven by Tom Van Rompuy, Rui Andrade, and Charlie Eastwood, this car will feature Sonangol branding, a blacked-out roof and front bumper, black wing mirrors, a black windshield banner, and a yellow U.S. flag on the hood.
- No. 33 Corvette – Piloted by Jonny Edgar, Ben Keating, and Dani Juncadella, this machine will showcase Keating Chevrolet and Wynns sponsorships, a grey U.S. flag, and a yellow-painted roof, bumper, and mirrors.
With these bold tweaks, Corvette maintains its legacy look while offering a freshened-up identity for the 2025 season.
Proton Competition’s Mustang Makeover
Ford’s Mustang LMGT3s, run by Proton Competition, have undergone a complete design overhaul for 2025, ditching last year’s look in favor of a Performance factory-branded scheme. The German team also shook up its driver lineup, introducing fresh faces while retaining some key talent.
- No. 77 Mustang – A powerful trio will take the wheel, featuring factory driver Ben Barker, British Silver-ranked driver Ben Tuck, and Portuguese rally specialist Bernardo Sousa, who made a surprising comeback to GT racing in 2024 after more than a decade away.
- No. 88 Mustang – This car retains factory ace Dennis Olsen and Silver-rated Giammarco Leverato, while welcoming Italian GT star Stefano Gattuso. Gattuso, a mainstay in Italian GT and GT World Challenge, brings valuable experience, including races in the Spa 24 Hours.
With revamped liveries and reloaded rosters, Proton’s Mustangs are primed for a breakout season in 2025.
Porsche’s LMGT3 R 992s: A Tale of Two Styles
Manthey Racing has pulled the covers off its Porsche 911 LMGT3 R 992s, bringing two very different liveries to the WEC grid.
- Iron Dames No. 85 Porsche – The all-female Iron Dames squad makes the leap from Lamborghini to Porsche, sporting a refreshed pink design that delivers a cleaner, more modern look while staying true to the team’s iconic identity. Behind the wheel will be Celia Martin, Rahel Frey, and Michelle Gatting, a formidable lineup ready to fight at the front.
- No. 92 Porsche – Ryan Hardwick’s 1st Phorm-backed machine continues with its recognizable blue, white, and black scheme, carrying over from his 2024 campaign. Hardwick will team up with Porsche factory veteran Richard Lietz and Italian talent Riccardo Pera, ensuring a strong mix of experience and speed.
A Season Set to Shine on and off the Track
As teams gear up for the Prologue Test and season opener in Qatar, these stunning liveries and new driver lineups add even more excitement to what is already shaping up to be an intensely competitive 2025 WEC season.
From Corvette’s classic yellow beasts to Ford’s factory-backed Mustangs and Porsche’s diverse designs, endurance racing fans are in for a visual and competitive spectacle when the action kicks off in Qatar.
