Three years after its launch, the 100% electric model from Skoda, with over 250,000 units sold, the Enyaq, has now been renewed and is already available on the national market with prices starting at €41,459.

Modern design
Incorporating the brand’s new Modern Solid design language from Mladá Boleslav, the renewed Enyaq features a striking front with a newly designed Tech-Deck Face in glossy black, Light Band, and newly designed Matrix LED headlights.
Additionally, the traditional winged arrow logo that has adorned models from the Czech brand on the hood since 1926 is now replaced by the word Skoda.

The rear design is equally striking, with the letters Skoda in Unique Dark Chrome, a well-defined profile, and C-shaped taillights available in two variants, both featuring LED technology.
The top version adds dynamic turn signals and integrates the taillights into the Coming/Leaving Home animation, offering a choice of two animations for the LED taillights with dynamic indicators.
The visual of the renewed Enyaq is highlighted by the large, aerodynamically optimized alloy wheels, available in sizes ranging from 19 to 21 inches. In particular, the range now includes 21-inch Supernova alloy wheels and a newly introduced exclusive metallic paint, Olive Green. The color options extend to two solid paint finishes and seven metallic ones.

The changes made to the exterior have allowed for a reduction in the drag coefficient of the SUV version of the Enyaq from 0.257Cd to 0.245Cd, while the Coupé version decreased from 0.240Cd to 0.229Cd. This fact contributes to a significant increase in the vehicles’ range in the WLTP cycle.
Both variants of the Enyaq are based on the MEB platform and have a wheelbase of 2.76 meters. The front axle is equipped with ventilated disc brakes and single-piston calipers for the Enyaq 60, and two-piston calipers for the Enyaq 85 and Enyaq 85x, while the rear axle is equipped with drum brakes.
Additionally, both versions feature a MacPherson front suspension with lower triangular arms and a transverse stabilizer bar, paired with a Multilink rear suspension with five transverse arms and a torsion stabilizer bar. Comfort can be enhanced with adaptive DCC dampers or progressive steering with a variable gear ratio.

The Sportline version of the renewed Enyaq enhances its sporty aesthetic with black details. This variant features a glossy black finish on the front spoiler, the side window trims, and the roof rails of the SUV body, as well as on the side mirror covers in metallic black. The front and rear letters are also finished in black.
Other features include tinted rear side windows and a tinted rear window (SunSet), as well as the Sportline logo on the tailgate. This sportier version comes standard with 20’’ metallic black Vega alloy wheels, with optional 21’’ Supernova wheels available in the same finish.
Engines and batteries
The renewed Skoda Enyaq offers three levels of engine options. The entry model is now the Enyaq 60, which replaces the 50, and is equipped with a 204 hp permanent magnet electric motor on the rear axle, delivering 310 Nm of maximum torque and powered by a 63 kWh lithium-ion battery, allowing a range of 437 km for the SUV version and 446 km for the Coupé variant. The top speed is 160 km/h.
The Enyaq 85 variant also has an electric motor and rear-wheel drive, but is equipped with a larger lithium-ion battery, consisting of twelve modules, with a gross capacity of 82 kWh and a range of 586 km for the SUV version and 596 km for the Coupé. The motor produces a power of 286 hp and a maximum torque of 545 Nm.

The Enyaq 85x, on the other hand, is also equipped with the larger 82 kWh battery with a range of 549 km for the normal version and 558 km for the Coupé, but features two electric motors, one per axle, allowing for all-wheel drive. This system continuously adjusts the power delivered to the front wheels, reducing energy consumption and improving directional stability. Both versions reach a maximum speed of 180 km/h.
All three engine options are available for both the SUV and Coupé versions, as well as for the Sportline variants.
All variants of the renewed Skoda Enyaq allow for high charging capacities: up to 165 kW for the Enyaq 60 and a maximum of 175 kW for the Enyaq 85x. In this way, the Czech brand announces that the larger battery can be charged from 10 to 80% in 28 minutes at DC fast charging stations. The Enyaq 60 can be charged from 10 to 80% in just 24 minutes. All models charge up to 11 kW at AC charging stations.

At the top of the range are the RS variants, with two motors, one per axle, and a maximum power of 340 hp and all-wheel drive, which allows acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds, while the top speed is limited to 180 km/h.
Its 84 kWh high-voltage battery allows for a range of up to 560 km for the SUV and 570 km for the Coupé variant, and can be charged up to 185 kW. Additionally, it now also offers bidirectional DC charging as a new feature.
Interior space and comfort

Inside, the revamped Enyaq offers ample space for passengers, complemented by a generous luggage capacity, ranging from 585 to 1,710 liters in the SUV version and from 570 to 1,610 liters in the Coupé variant.
In addition, it features a redesigned steering wheel that is now heated as standard, displaying the Skoda letters, as well as a 5’’ digital instrument panel and a 13’’ central infotainment screen that are part of the standard equipment. There is also a note for the augmented reality Head-up display that is available as an option, as part of the Advanced Pack.

On its part, the front seats are now heated, and the Enyaq is also equipped with Climatronic air conditioning and preparation for a tow hitch in all models.
Behind the Wheel

In the small test we conducted during the national presentation of the Enyaq, we had the opportunity to test the Coupé 85 variant with 286 hp, which offers ease in finding a good driving position. Furthermore, it presents a high level of comfort and plenty of space, worthy of a family model, along with materials and finishes that are quite pleasant to the touch, complemented by good sound insulation of the cabin.
In addition, we can count on several SimplyClever solutions, such as an umbrella made from sustainable materials in a compartment of the armrest on the driver’s door and mobile phone pockets on the backs of the front seats. The trunk also offers two hooks for bags and a retractable cover, which can be activated with a simple touch, which are always quite useful.

As soon as we take the wheel and press the accelerator, we immediately realize that this version can challenge fast hatchbacks, without presenting traction issues, being swift during overtaking, whenever requested and exhibiting a smooth roll, benefiting from good suspension behavior, even on more degraded surfaces.
