Kyle Larson secured his fifteenth victory in the Xfinity series after starting from the back of the pack.

The 2021 NASCAR Cup Series champion, Kyle Larson, began his first race of the 2024 Xfinity series at COTA and emerged as the winner. The Focused Health 250 encountered chaos due to a yellow flag in the final laps, resulting in overtime. He emerged victorious by taking the lead, capitalizing on the leaders who were involved in their own battle. Larson strategically maneuvered his way to the front.

Kyle Larson had initially secured the pole position, but relinquished it due to a damaged brake rotor replacement on his Chevy No:17 before the start. The HM driver fought his way to the front and had a chance to win in the final laps of the race. When the race restarted in overtime, he was in seventh place, with and dueling at the front. The two leaders went off track in the final corner, providing an opportunity for the Cup Series champion. Benefiting from new tires, Larson seized the moment.

On the final lap, the 31-year-old driver executed a double overtake in turn 15, passing both leaders in a swift move. Subsequently, the Californian crossed the finish line a few seconds later, securing his 15th victory in the series. This sets the tone for the rest of the weekend. He is now ready to face the challenge on Sunday, aiming for his second win of the season and dethrone from the top position in the championship standings.

During most of the race, r and Hill battled for the lead. However, Allmendinger damaged his tires later in the race, causing him to fall back in the pack. This gave the 29-year-old driver the opportunity for victory. However, Gisbergen pushed him off the track on the final lap, denying him the win.

The eight-time winner expressed his frustration after the race, as the New Zealand driver ruined his chances. Hill was upset with the actions of the 34-year-old driver, especially considering he had already received a 30-second penalty for exceeding track limits. Despite this setback, Larson took advantage of the situation and clinched the win. The RCR driver remained optimistic and focused on accumulating crucial points in the championship. Additionally, the driver of car No.21 is gearing up for the next race in Richmond, aiming to secure another victory there.
