Larson is about to make history by being the first driver since Kurt Busch in 2014 to attempt the double challenge of racing in both the Indy 500 and the Coca Cola 600. The double challenge is a daunting task, as it requires racing a total of 1100 miles on two different tracks and championships. This can be physically and mentally exhausting for a driver. Larson, who is a champion in both NASCAR and IndyCar, is the only one to have successfully completed both races while attempting the double challenge. Harvick recalls on his podcast that even the best, like Tony Stewart, had difficulties transitioning from the Indy 500 to the Coca Cola 600. Racing two 500-mile and 600-mile races on the same day without proper rest is a significant challenge. Harvick believes Larson has planned everything meticulously so far. However, he points out that even the best drivers have faced challenges when returning to NASCAR after the Indy 500. Harvick’s opinion is that Larson may face similar challenges. Despite this, Larson is considered to be at the same skill level or even above Stewart. It will be interesting to see if Larson can prove Harvick wrong.
