VW has already announced that the new generation of the Transporter will be launched in the market in early 2025, with more space and new features.
Without wasting time, the German brand has now shown the interior of the new Transporter, which features a completely redesigned cabin that promises to transport the user to the modern era.
VW Commercial Vehicles has announced that the new Transporter “wakes up” through the Keyless Start system start button, located between the 12” digital instrument panel and the 13” infotainment system screen. Located just below is the optional automatic transmission control lever.
The brand reveals that the change in the location of the gear selector has created more legroom. However, the selector for the manual gearbox is located on the center console.
The standard multifunction steering wheel is equipped with clearly arranged buttons. The volume of the infotainment system can be adjusted from the steering wheel or through a classic rotary button.
The handbrake lever has been discontinued and replaced by a switch for the parking brake located in the center of the instrument panel, thus freeing up more space in the footwell. In addition, there are large cup holders in the front of the center console (depending on the equipment level), as well as USB-A, USB-C, 12V, and optional 230V interfaces, providing power for electrical devices of all kinds.
As a van, the new Transporter Cargo comes standard with three seats in the front (individual driver’s seat and double seat for two passengers). Additionally, the Transporter Cargo can be equipped with up to three easily removable individual seats in the second row of seats and – later, as a passenger vehicle – also with a bench seat for three passengers in the third row of seats.
