VW Passat recebe cinco estrelas do Euro NCAP
The new generation of the VW Passat has achieved the maximum five-star rating in another round of Euro NCAP tests, the leading independent program for assessing vehicle safety in Europe. The new Passat performed very well throughout the entire safety testing process, reflecting the active and passive safety technologies equipped in the vehicle. Thus, the ninth generation of the Passat, one of VW’s best-selling models, achieved its best result in the adult occupant protection category, with a rating of 93%. In child protection, it received a rating of 87%, and in the protection of vulnerable road users, the assessment was 83%. In terms of assistance and safety systems, it scored 80%.

It should be noted that the new generation of Passat offers a wide range of driving assistance systems, including Side Assist (lane change assistant), Lane Assist (lane keeping system), ACC stop & go (Adaptive Cruise Control), turning braking function when a vehicle is detected in the opposite direction, Park Distance Control (acoustic and visual warning signals in case of obstacles in front or behind), Rear View (rear view camera system), and Dynamic Road Sign Display (dynamic display of road signs) using the front camera, as well as LED headlights and taillights.

Furthermore, the Passat is also equipped with the Car2X alert system, which allows the vehicle to exchange information about local hazards with other vehicles and with the traffic infrastructure.
