The European car safety assessment program, Euro NCAP, awarded the VW ID. Buzz Cargo the Platinum rating in the latest tests conducted, distinguishing the cargo version of the successor to the “Fáo de Forma,” a 100% electric vehicle, for its safety systems.
The Euro NCAP tests revealed a convincing performance, for example, in braking tests against fixed and moving obstacles, such as stationary or slow-moving vehicles, as well as pedestrians or cyclists approaching laterally, even in the dark.
The ID. Buzz Cargo features a blind spot visibility assistance system. Additionally, the vehicle is capable of reacting to oncoming traffic when turning and dynamically adjusts its speed during driving, including in accordance with local speed limits, thanks to a system of cameras and digital mapping.
Overall, the ID. Buzz Cargo impressed in the specific Euro NCAP tests on commercial vehicle safety, achieving a rating of 83% in the Safety Assist category thanks to its camera and radar systems.
