VW alcança novo recorde de autonomia com o ID.7

VW has announced that it has achieved a new range record in an efficiency test conducted at the Nardò circuit in southern Italy, with an ID.7 Pro S covering a distance of 941 km on a single battery charge, thus significantly surpassing the homologated range of up to 709 km.

The ID.7 Pro S used in the efficiency test, a production version, features an electric motor with 286 hp that is powered by an 86 kWh usable battery.

Additionally, the ID.7 Pro S benefits from improved aerodynamics, with a drag coefficient of 0.23 and rear-wheel electric traction that allows it to develop a maximum torque of 545 Nm, enabling the ID.7 to consume between 16.2 and 13.6 kWh/100 km in the WLTP cycle. The ID.7 Pro S also accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds.

The test conducted by VW in December by professional drivers from the VW Driving Experience took place at ambient temperatures of 5 to 15 degrees Celsius at the Nardò circuit in Italy, which has a 12.5-kilometer track that allows for a wide range of scenarios and endurance tests to be effectively simulated.

The average speed during the efficiency test was 29 km/h, a speed chosen by VW as it corresponds to typical peak hour traffic speeds in large cities. According to the latest “Traffic Index” from navigation expert TomTom, this number ranges from 22 km/h (Hamburg) to 31 km/h (Amsterdam).
