Volvo Car Portugal has announced the start of the EX30 Electric Drive Tour, a national roadshow that aims to introduce and test the EX30, the latest 100% electric SUV from the Swedish brand, the smallest and most sustainable SUV from the brand.
The EX30 Electric Drive Tour starts on May 10th in Braga and ends on June 9th in Faro, covering a total of five cities from north to south of the country (Braga, Porto, Coimbra, Lisbon, and Faro), where interested parties will be able to take test drives scheduled for a specific day and time.
It is worth noting that the new EX30 is based on the SEA platform from the Geely Group, the same one used by the smart #1, and is offered in three versions, based on two powertrains, and two different types of batteries. The entry-level version, Single Motor, uses an LFP (lithium iron phosphate) battery with a capacity of 51 kWh, powering a rear electric motor capable of delivering 272 hp and a maximum torque of 343 Nm, with an acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 5.7 seconds, an electronically limited top speed of 180 km/h, and a range of 344 km.
On the other hand, the intermediate variant Single Motor Extended Range uses the same motor, but combined with an NMC (nickel-manganese-cobalt) battery with a capacity of 69 kWh, providing a range of up to 480 km, with 0-100 km/h achieved in 5.3 seconds.
On the other hand, the top version Twin Motor Performance, is associated with the 69 kWh NMC battery and two electric motors, offering all-wheel drive, and a combined output of 428 hp and 543 Nm, with 0-100 km/h being achieved in just 3.6 seconds, a record that makes this model the fastest in Volvo’s history, with a top speed of 180 km/h, for a range of 466 km.
