After the Polestar 3, Volvo has now announced that the Abbey Road Studios Mode sound system, a sound technology designed to capture the essence of the unique environment of the iconic recording studio.
The new system is being debuted by Volvo in all versions of the EX90 equipped with the optional Bowers & Wilkins High Fidelity Audio system, through a remote, over-the-air update that will be carried out in the coming weeks.
Developed by Bowers & Wilkins in collaboration with Abbey Road Studios, the technology is inspired by the characteristic acoustic spaces of a studio and the sound signature of the equipment used by artists and sound engineers to create some of the greatest music albums in history, thus providing a unique listening experience within the EX90.
The system is equipped to provide a selection of sounds, optimized for different listening styles. The Producer Mode allows the user to set their own sound mode, including changing the acoustics from a more classic sound to a more modern one, or even expanding the stereo sound field and adjusting the acoustic environment, just like a producer or sound engineer.
