Volvo EM90: first images of the interior before the debut.

Volvo revela as primeiras imagens do EM90 destinado ao mercado asiático

The Volvo EM90, the brand’s first minivan, will only be presented on November 12th, but the Swedish manufacturer continues to reveal some details about the new model.

This time, Volvo has announced that the EM90, initially intended for Asian markets, was designed so that users can make the most of their time in the car, in a safe and comfortable way. The interior offers a spacious cabin width and sufficient legroom in a high-quality interior. It also integrates a wide variety of premium materials, lounge seats with so-called zero gravity cushions, a generous panoramic sunroof, and Scandinavian design details, all combined to create a space that allows you to fully enjoy life while on the move.

“When designing the EM90, we sought to create a space of personal comfort and a stylish and elegant travel experience. Inside, we focused on a car that works equally well for business trips or family trips. This was an exciting task for the entire design team.” emphasized Sophie Li, Head of Design at Volvo Design Studio.

Volvo even claims that the interior of the new EM90 is the most spacious and flexible ever offered by the brand, promising that it is suitable for both family and professional use, allowing the car to be used as a personal space to relax or work.

The first Volvo minivan comes with 6 seats that provide each person with their own zone and personal space. This includes customized entertainment and comfort control options, controlled through the armrest and an elegant touchscreen on a surface of FSC-certified natural wood.

In the second row, the lounge seats offer passengers all the amenities they could wish for: massage function, individual ventilation and heating options, as well as built-in tables and cup holders. The second-row lounge seats also include zero gravity cushions with a seven-layer structure and a thickness of over 120 mm, including high-density cushioning layers for comfort and support. Access to the third row is facilitated by the sliding rear doors, as well as the sliding second-row seats.

The panoramic sunroof covers the entire cabin and includes a curtain and various ambient lighting settings, which according to Volvo provide a genuinely Scandinavian atmosphere.

Scandinavian design details are spread throughout the cabin, from the sophisticated Orrefors crystal used in the gear lever to the backlit decorative panels in birch wood on the instrument panel, doors, and backs of the front seats.

Regardless of the chosen interior division, we can be sure that you will travel in a premium, elegant, and calm interior that reflects the modern design of Volvo Cars.”, Sophie Li concluded.
