Vovo Cars will delay deliveries of the 100% electric EX30 in the US due to the substantial increase in export tariffs imposed by US authorities on vehicles produced in China.
This confirmation of Volvo’s decision was made by “Reuters” which quotes a company spokesperson, who revealed that EX30 deliveries in the US will not start until 2025.
It is worth noting that the US government has increased tariffs on products produced in China, including electric vehicles, which are subject to a 100% rate compared to the previous 25%.
The White House justified this measure as the need to protect American manufacturers from what it considers to be “unfair trade practices” by the Asian giant.
According to Reuters, Volvo will produce the EX30 at its production facility in Belgium to meet the brand’s needs in the American market, as well as in the European market.
