With 3,781 registered units, Volvo Cars was one of the brands that grew the most in the national market in the first six months of 2024, a 50.8% increase compared to the same period.
This growth was much higher than the average for the automotive market, which was 5.7% in the first semester. As a result, Volvo increased its market share from 2.28% in 2023 to 3.25% in 2024.
The sales of the EX300, Volvo’s small 100% electric SUV, contributed greatly to the growth of the Swedish brand. In the first semester, it was the best-selling model, representing about 30% of total sales in the national market.
Volvo also revealed that sales of 100% electric cars accounted for 40% of the brand’s national sales in the first semester of the year. Additionally, Volvo was the third brand that sold the most 100% electric models in the first semester, with a total of 1510 units, only surpassed by Tesla with 5470 units and BMW with a total of 1933 units.
