Volkswagen has launched the California on Tour application, available for iOS and Android operating systems, which allows users to plan routes with consultation and definition of places to visit and stay overnight.
For those who enjoy adventure and taking their family on board the versatile Volkswagen California, the mobile application California On Tour is now available for better orientation and planning of trips. This new digital platform, available for free, provides access to various important information, such as a complete European database with the location of campsites and ideal parking spaces for motorhomes, not to mention fueling locations or vehicle maintenance service areas.
The application allows users to perform free searches by text or category, with results displayed in list or map views for better visualization and understanding of the places to visit. The database includes the location of more than 23,000 campsites throughout Europe and over 6,000 parking spaces that can also be reserved through the Hinterland.camp platform.
In addition to location, the California On Tour app provides various complete information about the places, including facility features.
The California On Tour application also offers additional functionality for owners of the Volkswagen California 6.1 model: a pre-installation for remote control. This function allows the motorhome to have smart home features, with the user being able to perform various actions remotely through their mobile phone, such as opening and closing the pop-up roof or adjusting the interior lighting intensity.
