Volkswagen has confirmed that the legendary GTI fan meeting, which has been taking place since 1982, will be held in Wolfsburg in 2024, from July 26th to 28th.
Under the motto “Coming Home – Reloaded,” Wolfsburg will be the new home for the GTI fan community next summer, in an event organized in cooperation with Autostadt. In addition to vehicle presentations, shows, and club meetings, there will be many other activities and surprises for GTI enthusiasts.
It is worth mentioning that since 1982, the largest GTI meeting has traditionally been held at Lake Wörthersee in Austria. However, in early 2023, the municipality of Maria Wörth announced that it would no longer host the annual event. Therefore, Volkswagen decided to bring the GTI Meeting to Wolfsburg.
It is worth mentioning that the official GTI meetings – which complement the events at Lake Wörthersee – had already been held outside the Volkswagen factory in 2017 and 2018.
