In tabloid format, Aprilia pilot Maverick Vinales emerged as the fastest in the final MotoGP practice session at the French Grand Prix. The competition was fierce, with half a second separating the competitors. Vinales secured the top spot with a time of 1:31.105s, narrowly beating out Ducati’s Francesco Bagnaia, who had claimed victory in Jerez. Bagnaia’s teammate Enea Bastianini finished third, just two tenths behind the leader. Although Jorge Martin couldn’t maintain his position at the top of the timing sheets, the Pramac rider still put in an admirable performance, finishing fourth overall. Alex Marquez had a fall but managed to recover and secure fifth place, one position ahead of his brother and teammate Marc. Aleix Espargaro and Jack Miller finished in seventh and eighth place, respectively. Raul Fernandez and Franco Morbidelli completed the top 10.

GasGas KTM duo Pedro Acosta and Augusto Fernandez found themselves at the back of the pack. Fabio Di Giannantonio led the charge for the home team, outpacing Yamaha’s Fabio Quartararo. Miguel Oliveira finished in 15th place, ahead of KTM’s Brad Binder and VR46’s Marco Bezzecchi. Takaaki Nakagami represented Honda in 18th position. Joan Mir claimed 19th place, eight tenths behind Vinales. Yamaha’s Alex Rins and LCR’s Johann Zarco separated the two factory Hondas.
