VÍDEO: Zhou Guanyu critica Fernando Alonso por contato no GP da Áustria

Zhou Guanyu expressed his dissatisfaction after a collision with Fernando Alonso during the Austrian Grand Prix. The incident occurred at a crucial moment in the race, with Alonso accidentally hitting Guanyu from behind, causing the Sauber driver to go off track. Despite quickly recovering and continuing the race, Guanyu’s frustration was evident as he expressed his anger over the team radio, expressing his discontent with Alonso’s actions.

The collision had the potential to prematurely end Guanyu’s race, but fortunately it occurred in a slower corner where the cars were not traveling at high speed. If it had happened in a faster section of the track, the consequences could have been much more serious.

Fernando Alonso shared his difficulties during the qualifying session for the race, highlighting the challenges faced by the team due to the lack of speed in the car. Despite this setback, Alonso praised the dedication and hard work of the team, who tirelessly made adjustments to the car’s setup in an attempt to improve its performance. The engineers worked diligently, even sacrificing their lunch breaks to ensure that the car was optimized for qualifying.

Alonso further explained that despite the significant changes made to the car’s setup, Aston Martin’s position on the grid remained relatively unchanged. This indicated that the problem was not only related to the setup, but rather the lack of speed compared to their competitors at the front of the pack.

Despite their efforts, both Aston Martin cars, including Alonso’s, qualified in 15th and 17th positions, respectively. The disappointment was felt by the entire team, as the meticulously crafted configuration did not yield the desired results. Alonso acknowledged the hard work of his teammates, recognizing their sacrifices in building the car’s setup, but ultimately the outcome was not favorable.
