Following Norris’ triumph, seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton was asked for his thoughts on his British compatriot’s achievement. Hamilton expressed his happiness for Norris and McLaren, emphasizing his long-standing connection with the team since his teenage years. He also expressed satisfaction that Verstappen and Red Bull had finally been dethroned.

Although pleased for Norris and McLaren, 39-year-old driver Hamilton acknowledged that McLaren was the team with which he also achieved his first victory. However, in the Miami race, Hamilton only managed a sixth place representing Mercedes.
