The issue of how to properly penalize track limit violations in Formula 1 has once again become a topic of controversy. Recently, news of a revised penalty for drivers who go off track and gain an advantage was released, but the shortcomings of this updated punishment were quickly exposed during the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
