VÍDEO: “Operador suave”, Carlos Sainz encanta rádio da equipe após vitória inesperada no Grande Prêmio da Austrália

Carlos Sainz secured a remarkable victory at Albert Park after Max Verstappen’s retirement from the race. Sainz, who had recently recovered from appendicitis, made a surprising comeback and qualified on the front row. He even managed to overtake his competitors in the early stages of the Grand Prix, crossing the finish line in first place with an impressive performance.

Verstappen’s forced retirement due to a mechanical failure allowed Sainz to take control of the race and extend the gap between him and the rest of the pack. Maintaining his exceptional form from the previous season, the 29-year-old driver claimed another victory for his team.

After his win, Carlos Sainz celebrated by playing his favorite song, ‘Smooth Operator’. This song has become synonymous with him since his time with McLaren. The Spanish driver also praised the Italian team for their excellent performance and his teammate for finishing in second place, securing a one-two finish for Scuderia.

Ferrari expected a tough competition with Red Bull over the weekend, and Sainz found himself in a favorable position to win after Verstappen’s retirement. He managed to establish a significant lead ahead of Charles Leclerc and the two McLarens, earning the title of Driver of the Day as voted by the fans.

Reflecting on the race, Sainz expressed his satisfaction and mentioned feeling comfortable on the track. He acknowledged that it was not an easy task, but credited his ability to maintain a consistent pace due to the gap between him and the rest of the pack. The race winner thanked Ferrari for their hard work, which resulted in the team’s impressive one-two finish.

Carlos Sainz, indisputably, displayed his brilliance at the Australian GP, overshadowing his competitors. The Spanish driver proved to be performing at an exceptional level this season, leaving fans eager to witness more remarkable results from him in the upcoming races.
