‘SHOCKING IMAGES’ shows on video Joey Logano coming dangerously close to hitting Austin Dillon’s family and RCR crew on pit road at Richmond

The Cook 400 had a controversial ending to the race. Logano secured his spot in the playoffs by eliminating Dillon and his team before reaching the finish line. While the RCR crew erupted in joy, the Penske driver finished 19th after leading the final lap. This led to Logano venting his anger in front of the spectators and Dillon’s family by revving his engine on the pit road.

Logano has only won one race this season but has come close to adding another victory to his record. The two-time Cup Series champion finished as the runner-up in his first race at this track earlier in the year and aimed to improve upon that result last weekend. However, despite being in a favorable position to win the race on the final lap, he was hindered by Dillon, allowing the latter to claim the victory.

After having his win snatched away from him in the final corner, Logano was left frustrated and expressed his anger towards the RCR driver. Subsequently, he proceeded to the pit road after the race and performed a tire-smoking maneuver in front of the RCR crew and Dillon’s family, as revealed by the onboard footage.

That… appears much worse than the footage that circulated previously, and should undoubtedly result in a significant penalty. Regardless of one’s level of frustration, this is not the appropriate way to express it, especially with a large number of people present. It is disgraceful.

The No.22 car was dangerously close to the family of his rival. This greatly concerned the No.3 racer, as the situation could have turned disastrous if certain factors were out of control. However, fans were quick to criticize race management, as pit roads are supposed to have restricted access until the cars have come to a complete stop.

While fans held differing opinions, spotters on the ground provided a different perspective. Logano’s spotter, [spotter’s name], has witnessed numerous racing incidents and questionable behavior by drivers, and believed that Logano’s actions had crossed the line.

The co-host of the Door Bumper Clear podcast strongly criticized the crews and loved ones of drivers for being present on the pit road. However, he condemned the actions of the former Cup Series champion and deemed them to be reckless.

Move Victory Lane back to its original location, and fewer people will attempt to cross the pit road. However, this is still not an excuse for what transpired. Such reckless behavior cannot be tolerated.

Despite the widespread outrage, NASCAR has announced that they will not penalize the No.22 Ford for its actions. Therefore, it is imperative to enforce strict rules regarding personnel entering the pit road after a race, and drivers should be made aware of the potential consequences they may face if these rules are not followed.
