Sergio Perez hit the barrier at the beginning of the Monaco Grand Prix. The Mexican driver caused the elimination of both Haas cars in the process.

The race is underway. After an exciting competition in the qualifying session on Saturday, fans were eager to see how the race would unfold on the streets of Monte Carlo. Red Bull Racing has been under pressure since the start of the weekend. However, Perez’s disastrous weekend continued on lap 1.

Perez failed to advance beyond Q1 on Saturday. The Mexican driver needed a strong race to secure his future in Milton Keynes. However, Perez lost control of the RB20 as he approached Turn 1 at the start of the race. The Red Bull driver collided with the barrier, causing damage to the car.

As a result, Haas drivers Magnussen and [driver’s name] were also affected by Perez’s incident. Magnussen collided with Perez, leading to the race being stopped with a red flag. After the incident, Perez’s car was left with only one tire and suffered significant damage.

Perez’s crash was potentially the most significant collision of the season so far. Fans were concerned about the possibility of the Mexican driver being injured after such a big impact. Fortunately, the 34-year-old driver was able to exit the RB20 safely as the race was stopped due to the red flag.

Red Bull Racing confirmed that Perez was not injured. The team stated on [platform] that, despite the severe damage to Perez’s car, he was able to exit without any issues. However, it is likely that Sergio Perez will undergo a medical examination to ensure his well-being.

Certainly, Perez had a terrible conclusion to the Monaco GP. However, the 34-year-old driver will likely seek to overcome this, as his future in Formula 1 remains uncertain. Meanwhile, [driver’s name] is the only remaining Red Bull driver in the race.
