The well-known explosions from Ryan Blaney on the radio continue.
The current Cup Series champion arrived at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Sunday hoping to secure consecutive wins after ending his winless streak at Iowa Speedway last week. Despite a strong race and running in second place with only nine laps remaining, his promising race was interrupted.
While battling with the Front Row Motorsports driver, he was thrown into the wall, forcing him to settle for a result outside the top 25. The No. 34 Ford lost control while attempting a risky maneuver on Ryan Blaney. His car slid on the track and collided with the Penske team’s Ford running on the outside lane.

Blaney, known for his radio explosions despite being a calm person off the track, criticized his fellow Ford driver. He called the veteran foolish for making such a maneuver at that stage of the race, and continued to express his frustration in his post-race interview.
“What the hell did he think was going to happen there? … I know exactly what happened. He dove in there like a fool.” – Ryan Blaney
McDowell apologized to Blaney after the race, but Blaney was not satisfied with the apology, considering it a kind gesture but not enough to make up for what happened. He emphasized that the maneuver McDowell made had little chance of success and was not worth taking both of them out of the race.
Blaney: “Apologies are nice, but they don’t bring back what he did. I knew what he was trying to do. It was a risky move. It was wet down there, and he dove in. What do you think is going to happen? You’re going to take both of us out of the race.”
The duel between the two pilots allowed for a redemptive victory after facing earlier difficulties in the weekend. The Ford duo formed by Blaney and McDowell was replaced by another Ford duo, as and from SHR claimed the podium positions.
