Mercedes-AMG continues to lift the veil on the future fully electric GT 4-Door Coupe, which has just completed the final phase of winter testing and emerges as one of the brand’s most ambitious models.

First electric AMG of the new generation

Internally known as C590, this model will be the first representative of the new AMG.EA platform, dedicated exclusively to high-performance electric vehicles.

The debut is expected soon, marking a significant shift in the strategy of Mercedes’ sports division.

Three motors and power exceeding 1000 hp

The new electric GT 4-Door will be equipped with three axial flow electric motors developed by YASA, allowing for AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive with advanced torque management.

The combined power is expected to exceed 1000 hp, positioning the model among the most extreme electric vehicles on the market.

Artificial sound inspired by V8 engines

Despite being fully electric, the model will feature exterior speakers that simulate the sound of a high-revving V8 engine, inspired by the M178 and M177 blocks used in models such as the GT Black Series and the S-Class.

Highly Configurable Dynamics

The AMG RACE ENGINEER system will allow for the adjustment of the vehicle’s behavior through three main controls:

  • Response: regulates the throttle response and the motors
  • Agility: adjusts the dynamic behavior, from understeer to oversteer
  • Traction: offers nine levels of traction control

The model will be able to switch between all-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive, enhancing versatility in sporty driving.

State-of-the-Art Chassis and Suspension

Among the technical highlights is the AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL system, featuring a three-chamber pneumatic suspension and active body stabilization.

The system uses interconnected hydraulic elements instead of traditional stabilizer bars, allowing for more precise control of the vehicle’s movements.

Advanced battery and ultra-fast charging

The battery uses laser-welded modules and a non-conductive oil cooling system that circulates directly between the cells to ensure optimal temperatures.

The 800-volt electrical architecture allows for rapid charging in direct current, reinforcing the capacity for use in demanding conditions.

Technological interior focused on software

The new AMG strongly focuses on software, integrating the MB.OS system and the latest generation of MBUX.

The cabin includes:

  • 10.2-inch digital instrument panel
  • 14-inch central screen and passenger screen

A new chapter for AMG

With this model, Mercedes-AMG takes a decisive step in the electrification of its range, combining extreme performance with advanced technology.

The electric GT 4-Door thus emerges as a new reference, maintaining the brand’s sporting DNA in a format fully adapted to the electric era.
