VIDEO – McLaren Revives Iconic Chrome Livery for United States Grand Prix in Fan-Favourite Comeback

CHROME IS BACK: MCLAREN BRINGS NOSTALGIA AND STYLE TO AUSTIN

McLaren fans are in for a treat at this year’s United States Grand Prix as the team is set to bring back the much-loved Chrome livery for a special second edition on the MCL38. In partnership with their Official Primary Partner Google, McLaren’s “Chrome Shines Again” campaign will see the return of the iconic chrome look, which first dazzled fans during the British Grand Prix in 2023.

This livery pays homage to McLaren’s rich legacy, harking back to the glory days when the team raced in chrome liveries in seasons past. But this is no mere throwback—McLaren has given the design a modern twist, symbolizing both their illustrious history and their forward-thinking, innovative approach to Formula 1.

A LEGENDARY LIVERY RETURNS

First debuted at Silverstone earlier this year, the Chrome livery was an instant hit with fans, bringing a sleek, metallic aesthetic that combines nostalgia with cutting-edge design. Now, the livery will take to the track once more, this time at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, adding some extra shine to the team’s U.S. appearance.

As McLaren looks to build on its recent strong performances, the return of the chrome livery is a nod to both the team’s heritage and its commitment to pushing the boundaries of performance and style. Expect McLaren’s drivers, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, to stand out on track as they take on the fast and technical COTA circuit in their gleaming machines.

CHROME SHINES AGAIN

The “Chrome Shines Again” campaign is more than just a cosmetic change—it’s part of McLaren’s effort to reconnect with its fans by bringing back iconic elements from the team’s past, while also celebrating their partnership with Google. This collaboration not only highlights the team’s technological prowess but also symbolizes their drive to innovate, both on and off the track.

McLaren’s return to the U.S. Grand Prix with this striking livery is set to be a fan-favorite moment of the weekend, adding some extra flair to one of the most exciting races on the calendar.

CATCH THE CHROME AT THE U.S. GRAND PRIX

Fans can catch the chrome-clad MCL38 in action when the United States Grand Prix kicks off at the Circuit of the Americas, bringing one of McLaren’s most iconic liveries back to life on the world stage. Prepare for a weekend of thrilling racing with a touch of McLaren’s classic, unmistakable style.
