Vídeo: Max Verstappen brinca sobre bater propositalmente em um cone durante teste de colisão do GP de Miami.

Max Verstappen had a tough moment in the cockpit of the RB20 in Miami. The usual dominance of the driver came to an end during the recent race in Miami. He was defeated by another driver who claimed his first victory. However, during the race, spectators witnessed a rare mistake from Verstappen.

On lap 22, Verstappen collided with the bollard at the tricky turn 16, which has caught many drivers by surprise over the years. After the race, the three-time world champion was asked about the incident and surprisingly responded sarcastically.

Verstappen also mentioned that there was no damage to his RB20 after hitting the bollard and that it made the turn easier for other drivers. Despite the impact, the 26-year-old driver did not seem upset and expressed his thoughts in a unique way.

Aside from the collision with the bollard, the rest of the race went smoothly for Verstappen. However, everything changed on lap 28 when another driver took the spotlight. Verstappen admitted in post-race interviews that his car did not suffer major damage from the collision with the bollard. However, he struggled to keep up with the fast pace of Lando Norris after the safety car period ended. The balance of his RB20 seemed to be a challenge.

Verstappen acknowledged that he believed he had not suffered damage after the mistake on lap 22. However, the Red Bull team boss later revealed that the floor of the RB20 sustained significant damage from hitting the kerb and the bollard.

The team boss also mentioned that Verstappen and Red Bull were struggling with balance throughout the weekend, and the collision with the bollard only added to their problems. Considering all the factors discussed, if Verstappen had not suffered damage, the race could have been much more challenging for McLaren and Norris.
