VÍDEO: Max Verstappen celebra vitória do amigo Lando Norris no GP de Miami apesar de sua própria decepção.

Max Verstappen, the McLaren F1 driver, has become a popular topic of conversation after winning his first F1 Grand Prix. Many respected individuals have praised him, and Red Bull has also praised the young British driver. In the thrilling Miami GP, Verstappen and Norris engaged in a fierce battle for victory. Although Norris was unable to overtake him, Verstappen did not hesitate to applaud the Briton for his exceptional performance.

The 24-year-old driver triumphed in the Miami GP, finishing over seven seconds ahead of Verstappen. “I am very happy for Lando, it was about time, and it won’t be the last,” expressed Verstappen his congratulations to the newest member of the Grand Prix Winners’ Club. Norris has been competing in F1 since 2019 and has fought hard on the track in recent years. His deserved victory in the Grand Prix is a testament to his perseverance and dedication. Verstappen acknowledged Norris’ patience and determination in securing his first win during an interview.

While Verstappen praised Norris for his achievement, he also discussed his own performance in Miami. Despite finishing in second place, Verstappen believes it was not a bad result considering the circumstances of the 57-lap race. He acknowledged that the competition was challenging, especially when opponents switched to hard tires and gained speed. Verstappen remains the leader in the 2024 Drivers’ Championship with a significant advantage.

“You win, you lose, we are all used to that in racing. Today was complicated, even with the medium tires we were not distancing ourselves. When they switched to the hard tires, they were flying. If a bad day is P2, I accept it,” commented Verstappen on his second place. The Dutchman is not overly disappointed with his performance in the 2024 Miami Grand Prix. He understands the capabilities of the Red Bull’s RB20 and remains focused on the remaining 18 races in the ongoing campaign.
